Barbara Hipp

Barbara Ann Hipp, born to Joseph and Susan Lowe on January 3, 1942, was a woman of immense faith, love, and talent. Her spirit was as bright and warm as the Florida sun under which she lived, and her heart was as wide and deep as the ocean she loved. Known affectionately as "Nanny" and "Lala" by her beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Barbara's life was a beautiful tapestry woven with threads of faith, family, and creativity.

From her early days singing in the church choir and later playing multiple musical instruments, to her years crafting stunning floral arrangements and cozy crocheted blankets, Barbara expressed her deep love for her family and her faith through her many talents. Her lifelong devotion to music and crafting brought joy and beauty to every occasion, and her unwavering faith was the cornerstone upon which she built a life filled with love and service. In the words of Proverbs 31:25, "Strength and honor are her clothing; and she shall rejoice in time to come."

Barbara was preceded in death by her loving parents, Joseph and Susan Lowe, and her devoted husband, Roy Sr. She leaves behind a legacy of love and faith in her daughter Tammy Allshouse, son Roy Jr., grandchildren Sirena, Joe, Justin, Trace, and Castalyn, and great-grandchildren Brasaya, Nariah, Benjamin Jr., Sirenity, Slate, Oakley, Trayden, Kynzlee, and Addisyn. Each of them carries a piece of Barbara's spirit, her love for music, her creative spark, and her unwavering faith.

A visitation will be held in honor of Barbara on Thursday, September 24, 2026, at 1:00pm EDT at the North Hillsborough Baptist Church, followed by a funeral service at 1:30pm EDT. Barbara's life was marked by the love she gave, the songs she sang, the beautiful creations she crafted, and the faith she lived. Her memory will continue to shine in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
